Zoran -- It's still alive, though I haven't spent much of any time working on WordPress, plugins or otherwise. I'm trying to get back into it, and I expect Strider Core to get some love this summer.

I am starting to lean away from the idea of the one framework working across different plugins (i.e. the "highest version runs on all SC plugins" idea). Not sure if it's a good idea or if it just introduces bad complications into the mix. Just pondering on that point....

Hey Steven, this *still* sounds like an excellent idea. Have you dropped it?

Cheers,

Basically, if I know an update is a "back breaker", I can increment the name of the strider_core class. "strider_core_2" and so forth....

If handled properly, this should not happen very often. Part of why this has been so long in development (besides lack of long swaths of time to get "into the zone" coding it) is I'm trying to design it in a way that future compatibility will be maintainable.

I'll try to get this up this weekend.

Yes, a public beta is a good ideea.

Although, I already have a question: what happens if you update the core and it isn't backwards compatible?
